Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 4 remained in some parts of Batanes and Babuyan ISlands as Super Typhoon (STY) Goring kept its strength while exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to the state weather bureau's latest update on Wednesday.

As of 4 AM, PAGASA said STY Goring, whose international name is Saola, was last seen in the coastal waters of Sabtang, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 240 kph.

Goring is heading northwestward at the speed of 20 kph.

The state weather bureau said Goring may continue traveling northwestward or west northwestward across the Luzon Strait until it leaves PAR on Wednesday or Thursday.

PAGASA reinstated TCWS No. 4 in the areas of:

• The southern portion of Batanes (Sabtang, Uyugan, Ivana, Mahatao, Basco)
• The northern portions of Babuyan Islands (Calayan Is., Babuyan Is.)

TCWS No. 3 is hoisted in:

• The rest of Batanes
• The southwestern portion of Babuyan Islands (Fuga Is., Dalupiri Is.)

The following areas are still under TCWS No. 2:

• The rest of Babuyan Islands
• The northern portion of mainland Cagayan (Santa Praxedes, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Claveria, Abulug, Ballesteros,
• Santa Ana, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Gonzaga)
• The northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Adams, Bangui, Dumalneg)

The state weather bureau warned the areas under TCWS to take precautions due to the minimal to violent and life-threatening impacts of the Goring-induced winds.

The southwest monsoon, enhanced by STY Goring, will continually bring gusty conditions in the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Aurora, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Western Visayas.

Most seaboards of Luzon and Visayas, and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao are still under Gale Warning.
