SHINEE's Choi Minho successfully wrapped up his first-ever fan meeting in the country last Saturday, January 28, closing the event with a promise: to bring the SHINee World VI concert to Manila soon!

"I got it," the 31-year-old Kpop idol politely responded after reading the banner prepared by Filo-SHAWOLs during his “2023 Best Choi’s Minho: Lucky Choi’s in Manila” fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia Arena over the weekend.

The banner reads "WE WANT SHINEE WORLD VI CONCERT IN THE PHILIPPINES."

"I will make sure to come together with my members and show you good performance," he added.

The event, presented by Ovation Productions, marks the first time in nearly six years that Minho reunited with his Filipino fans.

He previously visited the country with SHINee in 2017 for the One K Global Peace Concert that was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

"Hello Philippines! Long time no see! I'm SHINee Minho," the idol-actor greeted his fans after his opening performance of "Heartbreak," one of the singles from his first solo album "CHASE."

Minho said he was "very glad" that the Philippines is the first stop of his Asia fan meeting tour after Seoul.

"I’m so excited for my first solo fan meeting, especially here in the Philippines. For this excitement, I have prepared a lot for you,” he said.

"First of all, I have made the subtitle ‘Best Choi’s, Lucky Choi’s’ and I’m very glad that the first country I got to visit after my first fan meeting in Seoul is the Philippines,” he added.

Truly, he didn't fail his fans as Minho prepared performances as well as segments wherein he interacted with some lucky Filipino SHAWOLs.

The 'Fabulous' actor also re-enacted some of the iconic scenes from two of the well-loved Korean dramas "Alchemy of Souls" and "Descendants of the Sun."

Minho also wore a Barong Tagalog used by Filipino men on formal occasions during one of his segments.

“This is the first time I am wearing Barong Tagalog and knowing that this is such beautiful clothing, I think this is also meaningful for me. I feel such honor that I got to wear this Barong Tagalog,” he said.

Minho also took on Sarah Geronimo's "Dati-Dati" Challenge. He also performed songs including “Chase,” “Runaway” and a SHINee medley.

Best place to run away to

During the second part of the show, "Keyword Talk," host Sam Oh asked Minho where is the best place to run away to in relation to his song "Runaway."

While he thinks that who you travel with is the most important, the main rapper also considers the Philippines' weather, food, and kind people as one of the factors.

"I think the Philippines would be the best place to run away to," he quipped.

He was also asked his recommendation if Filipino fans came to South Korea.

Minho recommended going to Seoul and to “Kwangya,” his company, referring to SM Entertainment and eating “kimbap” and “samgyupsal.”

“If you go to our company, there is something there that looks like me. So you will feel that you already took a picture with me,” he said.

Debuted in 2008, SHINee — composed of Onew, Key, Minho, Taemin, and the late Jonghyun — are considered to be the 'Princes of K-pop.'

The group is known for their countless hit tracks such as "Ring Ding Dong," "Lucifer," "Replay," "Sherlock," and "View."

He has also starred in television dramas such as "To The Beautiful You," "Hwarang," and his latest show on Netflix, "The Fabulous."
