Shiela Guo and Cassandra Li Ong have undergone proper booking procedures at the Bureau of Immigration following their arrival from Indonesia on Thursday night.

According to a report by RH Noche Cacas, their arrival was met with a large crowd at the airport, causing some distress for Guo.

Asec. Mico Clavano from the Department of Justice (DOJ) stated that, after completing the documentation process at the Bureau of Immigration, both Shiela Guo and Ong will be transferred to the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

"Legal custody and fiscal custody will be done at the National Bureau of Investigation in Quezon City," said Clavano.

Shiela Guo faces charges related to violations of immigration laws, while Ong is charged with obstruction of justice and violations of the Passport Act. Both individuals have been read their Miranda rights, and their rights are being fully respected.

Clavano also mentioned that Guo and Ong have been allowed to secure their own legal counsel.

Following the commotion at the airport, Guo’s situation has since stabilized.

Meanwhile, Atty. Ferdie Topacio, who will serve as counsel for Ong, has arrived at the Immigration Office.

Topacio indicated that they would challenge the NBI’s custody of Ong, arguing that there is no justification for detaining her elsewhere except at her residence.
