Heads up Carats, SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo will start his military enlistment on April 3, his agency PLEDIS Entertainment said.
In a Weverse notice on Wednesday, March 5, the South Korean entertainment company announced that Wonwoo would not attend any of the global K-pop group’s engagements after his enlistment.
“We would like to share the news that WONWOO of SEVENTEEN will be starting his mandatory military service from April 3 this year,” PLEDIS Entertainment wrote.
This includes the upcoming Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025 Festival and the Japan fanmeeting in April.
But don’t fret—PLEDIS Entertainment assured that Wonwoo will still participate in the “SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND” concert from March 20 to 21 and will appear in various pre-recorded content.
“There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment, and we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the site of his alternative military service. Please send your heartfelt messages of support for WONWOO through Weverse,” the agency wrote.
“We ask for your continued love and support for the artist until his safe and healthy return. We will also stay committed to providing WONWOO with all the necessary support during this time,” its statement ended.

Wonwoo is the second SEVENTEEN member to enlist after Jeonghan’s enlistment in September 2024.
SEVENTEEN recently wrapped up their “Right Here” world tour in Bangkok, which attracted over one million fans worldwide. The group brought the tour to Manila last January, performing at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.
The 13-member group was also crowned the Top K-Pop Touring Artist at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).
In South Korea, all able-bodied men between 18 and 35, are mandated to serve at least 18 months in the military.
