Senator Grace Poe attended a gathering at the Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ) statue in Manila on Thursday to express her support for the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist as they filed their candidacy for the 2025 elections.
The filing was led by the partylist's first nominee Brian Poe, joined by second nominee Mark Patron of San Jose, Batangas, and third nominee Hiyas Dolor of Oriental Mindoro.
The event was attended by supporters from various sectors, including youth groups, farmers, transport workers, and members of the informal sector.
The FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist aims to represent the marginalized sectors in Congress, focusing on issues such as poverty alleviation, justice, and public service, which are in line with the legacy of Fernando Poe Jr., a well-loved Filipino actor and former presidential candidate.
Ric Serrano, Secretary General of the Political Officers League of the Philippines (POLPhil), and youth leader Krissy Abesamis from the Manila Chapter of BAYANIHAN, were among the key figures who spoke at the event, voicing their full support for the partylist’s agenda.
"We, the Political Officers League of the Philippines, together with our nationwide networks are fully supporting FPJ Panday Bayanihan Partylist," said Serrano.
Original supporters from FPJ’s 2004 presidential bid were also present, reaffirming their commitment to the partylist's movement.
