A PSA to all selfie enthusiasts from the South!

As you all may know, self-shoot photo studios are now a thing in the Philippines.

Starting in Singapore, it is basically a new way to take photos without the expense of getting shy and awkward around other people! Plus, you can also take your time to do fun poses may it be just yourself or with your friends and loved ones.

However, most of these self-photo studios first opened in the North. So the South peeps are asking, how about us?

Well, worry no more because UFOTO Self Portrait Studio in Cavite is more than ready to cater to your needs for that aesthetic and enjoyable photoshoot session for as low as PHP 500.

UFOTO (pronounced Yu-Foto) Self Portrait Studio is located at Camella Springville, Molino 4, Daang Hari Road, Bacoor, Cavite.

The making of UFOTO

Opened last February, this self-portrait-slash-physical-studio is the brainchild of the freelancer couple Angelie S. Villegas & Marco G. Sumargo, who were graduates of Communication and MMA courses, respectively.

Prior to their opening, the couple already have an events-related business called 323 Studios.

However, they confessed to once dreaming of having a physical store where they can freely conceptualize their client's request without the hassle of traveling all the way to the North.

"Kasi yung mga concept studio lagi siyang nasa Manila, QC, eh ako from Batangas ako. May mga gusto akong gawin sa mga clients ko. Sinasabi ko mag-studio shoot tayo pero dadalhin mo pa sila sa Quezon City," Angelie shared.

"So sabi namin gusto namin yun mga nakikita nating studio sa QC, dalhin natin sa South para mas accesible sila sa market ng South," she added.

And being an artsy couple, they both come up with the overall design and vibe for their studio which is an incorporation of mid-century modern design and Korean style.

Indeed, this is evident by the look of their minimalist receiving area wherein you can also take your selfies and do casual photoshoots while waiting for your turn.

Angelie also revealed their plans to redecorate their studio into another theme and concept after 6-12 months.

"Somehow, naging way namin siya para magkaroon ng creative outlet kasi parang darating ka sa punto na parang mapapagod ka sa ginagawa mo and you're looking forward to something more," she said.
