Filipina beauty queen Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza is poised to take home the Miss Grand International 2024 crown.
This comes in the wake of the MGI Organization’s decision to revoke Miss India Rachel Gupta's title as Miss Grand International 2024.
MGI earlier explained that the decision was made after Gupta failed to carry out her official duties, engaged in unauthorized activities, and refused to participate in an official trip to Guatemala.
In a Facebook post, the organization announced that the official crowning ceremony for the Pinay beauty queen will take place on June 3 at 2 p.m. Bangkok time (3 p.m. Philippine time) at the MGI Hall (Bravo BKK).
The event will be livestreamed via the GrandTV YouTube channel.
"Time tells all. The CROWN has found its QUEEN," the organization said in the post.
Moreover, CJ gave a subtle hint about the title she is set to receive through an Instagram post, where she was seen wearing a striking red gown.
"Rising from the golden ashes is a Phoenix who is ready for a comeback to conquer the grandest heights," said Opiaza.
"I am Christine Juliane Opiaza, Miss Grand International 2024 from the Philippines 🇵🇭," she added.
