The Manila MSW Mavericks triumphed over the Quezon City Dragons in Game 5 of the first-ever professional billiard league in the Philippines, SBA, with a commanding score of 18-5.
The Mavericks bounced back impressively after their previous defeat against the Taguig Stallions in Game 4.
On Day 1, the Mavericks immediately showcased their impressive pool skills in the King of the Hill 5 v 5, led by Tristan "Tining" Deocareza, who secured 8 rack wins, achieved 67 successful breaks, and earned an overall rating of 96 percent.
Day 2 saw the Dragons retaliate in the Sharks Double event, with the dynamic duo Alexis "Damang" Ferrer and John Limuel "Rambo" Rebong leading the charge.
However, these were the only points the Dragons would score in Game 5, as the Mavericks regained their momentum on Day 3 in the 1 on 1 event, Day 4 in the Sharks Double, and Day 5 in the King of the Hill.
Tristan Deocareza was named Player of the Week for his outstanding performance, which included 2 break and runs, a 40 percent break success rate, 22 rack wins, and a 90 percent overall rating.
