Amid talks of a possible Leni Robredo-Sara Duterte (RoSa) victory for the May elections, Duterte on Wednesday underscored that her president is her running-mate, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. (BBM)
According to Duterte, she is aware that many of her supporters want to see her with another presidential candidate, saying that she is "touched" and takes it as a "sign of confidence" for her as a leader.
"But I am a person, a woman, a leader who values commitment and word of honor. I am running for the position of vice president and my president is Bongbong Marcos," she stated.
"The presidency was the option for Apo BBM as it was for me. I chose the vice presidency," she added.
The Davao mayor explained that when she and Marcos agreed to run together, they had a single purpose of improving the lives of Filipinos and making the Philippines stronger.
"Again, I intend to honor the commitment of my parties, the Lakas Christian Muslim Democrats and Hugpong ng Pagbabago, that is to support Bongbong Marcos as president," she added.
The presidential daughter made the remarks as some of their supporters begin pushing for a Robredo-Duterte movement, which they dubbed RoSa, for the upcoming election.
The Robredo camp previously said that the vice president would be willing to work with anyone if she is elected for the presidency.
However, spokesperson Barry Gutierrez said that they are doing everything to ensure that Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Robredo's running mate, will also win.
