Resigned Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez has dismissed allegations surrounding his expulsion from the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).

In an 11-page resolution made public on Tuesday, the PFP announced Rodriguez's exit from the party over “loss of trust,” “disloyalty,” and other “act inimical to the party.”

This comes after PFP-BARMM officers cited information from radio broadcaster Anthony Taberna who revealed that Rodriguez had used his influence as executive secretary to appoint incoming General Manager Christopher Pastrana to the Philippine Ports Authority.

"Dahil ba maraming nag-apply na hindi qualified at ang kanila lamang claim to fame ay sila ay miyembro ng Partidio Federal ng Pilipinas? Dahil ba hindi sila napagbigyan agad agad, iyan ay disloyalty na sa partido? Pangalawa, iyong "acts inimical to the party," iyan din ba ang basis ninyo kapag hindi pinagbibigyan ang kapritso ng partido ay sasabihin ng disloyal?" Rodriguez said in an interview with another media outlet.

(Is it because many who applied are unqualified and their only claim to fame is that they are members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas? Is it because their requests weren't granted immediately, it becomes disloyal to the party? Second, the "acts inimical to the party," is that your basis when the party is not favored you will call it disloyal?)

The former Cabinet member also revealed that he was not served a copy of the order kicking him out of the party, which bore a date when Marcos was out of the country.

However, Rodriguez said he has no issue with the party expelling him, reiterating that his loyalty remains to the Philippines.

"My loyalty to Partido Federal ng Pilipinas ends where the interest of the 31.6 million Filipinos who believed in us during the campaign, and my loyalty to the Republic of the Philippines begins," Rodriguez said in an interview.

"I could not, in conscience, during my time as executive secretary, let a non-qualified applicant be appointed to the administration of PBBM simply because he or she is a member of PFP," he added.

Rodriguez stepped down from his post last September, citing that he needed time for his family.

He was replaced by former Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin.
