Outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday extended her gratitude to Swedish Ambassador Annika Thunborg for their agency's assistance to the Office of the Vice President's (OVP) different programs.
The two officials met when Thunborg paid a visit to the OVP, according to a post from Robredo on Monday.
"Bilang isang long-time partner ng Office of the Vice President, nagpasalamat si VP Leni Robredo sa assistance ng embahada sa iba't ibang inisyatibo ng opisina para makatulong sa ating mga kababayan," read the Facebook post.

According to Robredo, the Swedish Embassy assisted the OVP's efforts in opening temporary shelters for frontliners, as well as providing vaccines for communities.
"Nakiisa rin ang embahada sa pagbabahagi ng mga household items at equipment sa mga residente noong itinayo natin ang Angat Buhay Village sa Marawi City," added the vice president.

Robredo also recognized Sweden's efforts in peace-building and women empowerment in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
"Nagpasalamat din ang Bise Presidente para sa mga employment opportunities ng Swedish companies at sa maayos pangangalaga sa mga Filipino workers," read the Facebook post.

The visit came weeks before Robredo is scheduled to step down as vice president, and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte assumes the position on June 30.
