Rob Luna, one of the renowned voices of Mobile Legends Professional League PH (MPL PH), passed away at the age of 37.
In a social media post, ULVL Productions said that the shout caster died on Tuesday, February 28.
"It is with great sadness to announce that our Production Manager, our brother, Rob Luna, passed away peacefully on February 28," they wrote.
The production company has honored the prominent figure in e-sports community who worked for them as a Production Manager since 2021.
"We want to honor his incredible life and contribution, not just to the Esports industry, but most importantly, to the people of ULVL Productions. More than just being the Production Manager of ULVL since 2021, he was a brother to the management and a father to the staff," they continued.
One of Luna's closest friends and fellow shout caster Bennette “Prof B” Felix said that he battled with an undisclosed illness.
"Nilaban niya yung sakit niya at request niya na wag ilabas sa public kasi ayaw niya nang pinag kakaguluhan siya at matapang si Rob na labanan ito," he shared in a Facebook post.
Luna started his career as a professional shout caster during the Season 4 of MPL Philippines last 2019.
He also cast in several international tournaments including the Mobile Legends M2 World Championship, Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup, and ONE Esports MPL Invitational.
