Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, John Paul “H2wo” Salonga, and Renejay “Renejay” Barcase — the former star trio of Nexplay — have officially reunited, this time under a new title: Honor of Kings.
Their transfer to the popular mobile MOBA was confirmed on July 3 through a welcome video released on the official channels of Honor of Kings. The announcement also featured content creators Setsuna “AkoSi Dogie” Ignacio and Oscar “Sumpak” Romero.
The three made their move after parting ways with their respective teams in the MPL and MDL Philippines.
Yawi, who had a storied MPL career with ECHO Philippines and also played in Indonesia, joined Honor of Kings after a season with TNC Pro Team. TNC thanked Yawi in a farewell post, describing him as a strong leader.
Renejay, who played a key role in Aurora Gaming’s Season 14 grand finals run, also exited the team. Despite a disappointing Season 15 playoff finish, he was praised by the organization for his veteran presence and unwavering determination.
H2wo, one of Nexplay’s original stars, made the jump after playing for Smart Omega Neos, where he helped secure back-to-back top four finishes in the MDL Philippines.
