The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has reached a significant milestone by issuing 65,050,382 million PhilIDs and ePhilIDs to date.
Among the total figure, 31,204,200 PhilIDs have been successfully delivered as of May 19, 2023, while 33,846,182 ePhilIDs have been issued as of May 20, 2023.
These numbers include both the printed and downloadable versions of the identification cards.
"In less than a month, more than five million registered persons are included in the growing number of Filipinos with PhilIDs and ePhilIDs and may now enjoy the benefits of being registered to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys)," emphasized PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, who serves as the National Statistician and Civil Registrar General.
"Makakaasa ang ating mga kababayan na patuloy ang PSA sa pagpupursige na maihatid ang PhilID at ePhilID sa bawat registered person sa bansa," he further added.
In the pursuit of efficient card production and printing, the PSA is working closely with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), while the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is collaborating with them for the delivery of PhilIDs.
PSA field offices are actively engaged in issuing ePhilIDs at registration centers, as well as distributing them through house-to-house visits and plaza-type distributions across the country.
To check if they can claim their ePhilIDs, individuals registered in the PhilSys are encouraged to visit https://appt.philsys.gov.ph.
Additionally, those who have received an official text message from the PSA can download a PDF copy of their ePhilID directly onto their mobile devices.
