Flu-like symptoms are currently rising in several private hospitals.

This was confirmed by Dr. Jose Rene De Grano, President of the Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAPi), during a DZRH Damdaming Bayan exclusive interview on Monday, Oct. 9.

"Yung report po sa amin tumaas rin ang kanilang mga admissions po ng mga pasyente usually may mga flu-like symptoms," Grano said.

He added that many patients are being admitted due to some tests, as dengue and typhoid have the same symptoms.

"Parang may sipon, lagnat, trangkaso, but then, of course, yung iba talagang nagpapa-admit, posible kasing pareho ang sintomas ng typhoid at ng dengue, kya bago sila pauuwiin ay sinisiguro natin na yung mga ito ay pwedeng sa bahay na," the PHAPi President said.

According to Grano, people are experiencing the flu due to the changes in weather.

When asked about COVID-19, Grano said no cases of the virus have been recorded so far.
