President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. claimed that his attendance at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland made a fruitful outcome that yielded beneficial trade and investment opportunities as well as partnerships supporting his development agenda.
In his arrival speech, Marcos said that his economic forum in Davos resulted in new opportunities in trade and investment in the Philippines for a better appreciation for Filipino workers and professionals, as well as the promise of increasing the level of cooperation with the world.
According to the President, it was a unique trip for the medium - to long-term goodwill and interest his team generated for the country.
Moreover, Marcos said that the Philippines could have the ability to articulate and exchange views on pressing issues that will impact the lives and livelihood of all Filipinos through the multi-stakeholder platform provided by WEF.
At the WEF, the President emphasized his administration's policies during the Philippine Development Plan, 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda, and various other policies and legislations toward economic reforms.
Marcos also met with the WEF founder and Chairman Emeritus Klaus Schwab and tackled partnerships and collaborations that can sustain equitable and inclusive growth to provide a better quality in the lives of Filipinos.
Meeting with international leaders to discuss how they might work together more closely to guarantee sustainable peace and prosperity for everybody was another aspect of the President's journey to Switzerland.
President Marcos also met with senior executives from corporations including DP World, Glencore, and Morgan Stanley, many of which pledged fresh investments in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, mining and processing, digital solutions, logistics, telecommunications, and renewable fuels are just a few of the industries with fresh investment potential.
President Marcos met with the Filipino community in Switzerland before leaving for Manila, where Aivan Mendoza, the grand finalist of The Voice France, serenaded him.
