President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. catches a cold as the temperature in Belgium continues to drop to -3 degrees on Tuesday, December 13 (early Wednesday Manila time).
This prompted him to cancel his scheduled coffee meeting with members of the media on Tuesday night
House Speaker Martin Romualdez faced the media instead.
“He’s got a cold. Napaos lang yata siya. He has a cold,” Romualdez told reporters.
Earlier in the day, Marcos apologized for his hoarse voice to officials of top European companies during a luncheon meeting.
On Monday, the President met with the Filipino community in Belgium wherein he commended their role in strengthening the Philippines' ties with the European Union.
He also met King Philippe of Belgium at the Royal Palace in Brussels on Tuesday.
Marcos is also set to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from Estonia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands, and the European Union
