President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. met with King Philippe of Belgium at the Royal Palace in Brussels on Tuesday.
Marcos is currently in Belgium for the ASEAN-European Union Commemorative Summit slated this week.
Speaking before the Filipino community on Monday, the Chief Executive said he will be discussing with King Philippe the expansion of cooperation between Manila and Brussels.
"In this visit, I will have a Royal Audience with King Philippe, and I will be happy to share with him that the Philippines and Belgium have just commemorated 76 years of bilateral relationships this year," he said.
"Our relationships have remained strong and vibrant based on shared values, common interest, and the good reputation that Filipinos have built not only here in Europe but all over the world," he continued.
Marcos is set to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from Belgium, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Finland, the Netherlands, and the European Union.
Marcos also met Brussels Airport Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arnaud Feist at the sidelines of ASEAN-EU Union Commemorative Summit in Belgium.
