President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has appointed two associate justices of the Court of Appeals (CA) and one associate justice of the Court of Tax Appeal (CTA).
This was announced by the Supreme Court (SC) in a Twitter post on Thursday, Oct. 19.
According to SC, Marcos appointed Wihelmina Jorge-Wagan and Selma Palacio Alaras as CA associate justices last Oct. 11.
Wagan and Alaras were among the 13 shortlisted candidates by the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC). The list was submitted to Marcos last July 8.
The two newly appointed associate justices replaced former CA associate justices Gabriel Ingles and Edgardo Camello who both retired earlier this year.
