President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed more additional officials to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3), its attached agency.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Aug. 10, DOTR announced that Jorjette B. Aquino was tapped as the Assistant Secretary for Railways.
Federico Canar Jr. was named as the new MRT-3 General Manager and Engr. Oscar B. Bongon was chosen as the MRT-3 Operations Director.
Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista presided over the oath-taking ceremony of the three officials.
Marcos had earlier designated Bongon as the officer-in-charge (OIC) general manager of MRT-3. He formerly served as the chief of the station division of MRT-3 in 2016.
While Canar Jr. was a former official of the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRT-A).
