President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed hope for a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine as the war marked its 1,000th day.
"Yesterday marked the 1,000th day since the war in Ukraine began," Marcos said in a social media post on Wednesday.

Marcos then revisited his discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in June, where he expressed support for Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity.
According to Marcos, the strengthening of the relationship between the Philippines and Ukraine, which he described as a ‘valued partner,’ will continue.
Meanwhile, the Philippines faces a similar issue and situation due to the ongoing territorial dispute in the West Philippine Sea against China.
