A total of 3,826 of the 5,958 takers have passed the 2022 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday.
The PRC said Angeles University Foundation was the top institution with a 100 percent passing rate.
It was followed by Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (97.22 percent), St. Luke’s –Medical Center College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial (97.22 percent), Cebu Institute of Medicine (95.65 percent), University of the Philippines – Manila (95.65 percent), and Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (97.22 percent).
Also included in the top universities are the University of Cebu College of Medicine Foundation Inc. (93.94 percent passing rate), University of Santo Tomas (90.43 percent), West Visayas State University – La Paz (89.19 percent), and University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (97.22 percent).
Justin Adriel Zent Gautier Togonon from UP-Manila led the top 10 list of passers with an 89 percent rating.
“The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later,” the PRC said.
It instructed passers to register online for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration.
President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. congratulated passers of the 2022 PLE.
“Congratulations to our country’s newly-licensed physicians! The nation shares in your pride of your years of hard work,” Marcos wrote on his official Twitter account.
