Teen star Awra Briguela was reportedly released from police custody after posting a P6,000 bond on Saturday night, July 1.
In a report, Executive Judge Gina Bibat-palamos of Makati Regional Trial Court issued the release order for Briguela.
The actress is accused of participating in a brawl with another group of guests at a Makati bar.
Briguela was apprehended by police outside the pub in Makati's Poblacion district on Thursday morning, according to videos that have gone viral.
According to Makati City Police Chief Col. Edward Cutiyog, police have filed complaints against Briguela for alarm and scandal, as well as disobedience of those in authority.
Briguela allegedly demanded that Mark Christian Ravana remove his shirt and began a brawl with his friends outside the bar, according to the police chief.
He claimed the teen actor cursed at the cops, prompting them to arrest her.
Several recordings of the incident have now spread on social media, presenting various angles and perspectives on the occurrence.
Briguela's companion, content creator Zayla Nakajima, alleged in a now-deleted post that a man in the bar attempted to grope her and another acquaintance.
She claimed that Briguela was simply defending her.
Meanwhile, Briguela’s celebrity friends, fans, and LGBTQIA+ community advocates expressed their disappointment to the Makati police for manhandling Briguela during the arrest.
As such, "#JusticeForAwra" became a trending topic on Twitter, showing sympathy and support for the actress.
