The Philippine National Police (PNP) maintained that the Holy Week 2025 observance has been “generally peaceful” despite recording 28 incidents.

According to their assessment, the following incidents were recorded until Good Friday:

• 16 drowning incidents in Metro Manila and Region II
• 1 arson case in the police regional office in Negros Island
• 3 fires in NCR, Region VII, and Region IX

The PNP said that 68,465 personnel have been deployed across the country, to maintain the Filipinos’ safety amid the occasion.
