The Philippine National Police (PNP) assured heightened security for the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the 2025 midterm elections.
According to PNP Chief PGen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, they are working with various government agencies to ensure the elections are conducted with integrity.
Furthermore, Marbil urged the public to report any irregularities they may observe in the upcoming election season, particularly those concerning police officers.
Marbil previously warned police officers who may be involved in political disturbances ahead of the October 1 to October 8 filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC).
Meanwhile, in line with election preparations, the COMELEC Regional Office in Metro Manila, located in San Juan City, is now "all set."
In a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, the Office of the Regional Director – National Capital Region (NCR) shared with DZRH News the rooms, tarpaulins, and other materials that will be used for the filing of candidacies for those vying for over 30 congressional seats in the region.
In the mentioned location, candidates for congressman are set to file their Certificates of Candidacy starting tomorrow, making it one of the primary election sites in Metro Manila.
The Comelec-NCR, PNP, and Local Traffic Bureau have reportedly met to discuss the security measures to be implemented over the next seven days.
