The Philippine Army is currently in the process of recruiting 1,050 new officers.
The Army opened 400 slots for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC); 400 slots for the Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) Class 73 and 74; 100 slots for the OCC-Reserve Officer Training Corps (OCC-ROTC); 100 slots for the Call to Active-Duty Tour for Training (CADTT); and 50 slots for Direct Commission.
The Army set a total quota of 2,109 slots for officer recruitment within 2021.
"This is a great opportunity for everyone especially the youth who wants to serve their fellow Filipinos and our beloved country," Lt. Gen. Andres Centino, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, said on Sunday, October 24.
"The Philippine Army thoroughly selects the best and the brightest who will be the future military leaders of the organization carrying out the noble duty of protecting the peace and stability of the nation," Centino added.
