MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Embassy in Denmark thanked the Filipino community for the support it received during the first online voting and counting system (OVCS) for overseas Filipino registered voters in Denmark, Faroe Islands, and Greenland from 13 April to 12 May 2025.

According to Philippine Ambassador Leo M. Herrera-Lim, he expressed gratitude to the Filipino community for casting their votes electronically through the new mode of voting.

He also thanked Filipinos for its calls to increase support in “harnessing the advantages of online voting” in the presidential and national elections to come.

The Philippine Embassy in Denmark rolled out the first OVCS for Filipino registered voters, with the Embassy’s officers and staff, deputized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), serving as members of its electoral boards, namely the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC), the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), and the Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG), to conduct election-related duties with regular operations, for thirty (30) consecutive days, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
