The Philippine Embassy in Tripoli is still checking if there were any Filipinos affected by the flooding in Libya.
"The Philippine Embassy sends its thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the floods in the eastern part of Libya (Benghazi, Al-Marj, Al-Bayda, Shahat, Derna, and Tobruk)," the embassy said in a statement.
In a Reuters report, thousands of people were reportedly killed and at least 10,000 were missing in Libya in floods caused by a huge Mediterranean storm that burst dams, swept away buildings, and wiped out as much as a quarter of the eastern coastal city of Derna.
