The Patido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. formed an alliance with the Nacionalista Party, headed by former Senate President Manny Villar.
President Marcos, who chairs PFP, attended the signing of the alliance between the two political parties on Thursday, August 8, at Brittany Hotel in Taguig City.

"And today, we have the opportunity to forge another partnership that will broaden the grand coalition working under the banner of Bagong Pilipinas," he added.
Aside from NP, PFP has also entered an alliance with other political parties like Lakas-CMD, Nationalist People’s Coalition, and the National Unity Party ahead of the upcoming midterm polls.
President Marcos said that the alliances entered by the PFP show that the leaders of the Philippines understand the importance of unity for the country to move forward.
"Kaya naman ating ginagawa ito dahil patuloy ang ating, we are continuing to answer the call for unity and this is what I always explain to people," President Marcos said.
"Ang ating sigaw ay ang pagkakaisa, unity. And that continuing call for unity remains and that is why it is very gratifying to see that the significant, the big and influential and historical, national parties of the Philippines have come to answer that call for unity," the Chief Executive stressed.
