Malacañang Palace is reportedly asking government officials appointed by the president to submit updated documents for a mandated review.
According to RH Leth Narciso's report on Monday, February 5, a memorandum circular issued by the Presidential Management Staff directs all appointees in government offices, government-owned and controlled corporations, state universities and colleges, and government financial institutions to submit an updated information data sheets and clearances from the National Bureau of Investigation, Civil Service Commission, Ombudsman, and Sandiganbayan.
All presidential appointees shall submit the required documents within 30 days.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil clarified that the requirement is for appointees who were appointed by then President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.
"This is a directive to all presidential appointees, including those appointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., as part of performance review and to ensure continuing qualifications to remain in office," Garafil said in a statement.
