

The remains of Police Colonel Pergentino Malabed Jr. were given the arrival honors at Camp Crame on Friday morning, February 21, after it arrived in the Philippines.
RH 52 Edniel Parrosa reported that it was around 7:45 AM when Malabed’s remains arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Upon arrival, the PNP official was given the arrival honors by his classmates.

Malabed then arrived at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters at around 10:30 AM. According to the report, the PNP official will receive the Medalya ng Katapatan sa Paglilingkod and the Medalya ng Katangitanging Gawa.

The PNP Public Information Office (PIO) Chief PCol. Randulf Tuaño said Malabed’s family will receive around PHP 2.7 million in financial support from the PNP Savings and Loan Association Inc.
A necrological service will be held at the PNP Mortuary and will be open for public viewing before the official’s burial at Sta. Rosa, Laguna, next week.
Malabed is among the 67 people who were on board the American Airlines passenger plane that collided with the US Army Black Hawk helicopter in Washington, D.C., last January.
It was reported that all passengers aboard the aircraft died due to the incident.
