The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has logged 73,984 outbound passengers and 49,500 inbound passengers in all ports nationwide, collected on April 8 from 6 AM to 12 NN.

Meanwhile, there were 2,779 frontline staff in 15 PCG Districts who inspected 453 vessels and 1,954 motorbancas.

During the Holy Week, the Coast Guard has heightened its alert on their districts, stations and sub-stations for the arrival of passengers in the different ports.

The heightened alert will extend its cover during the length of summer vacation, until May 31, for the upcoming arrival of tourists on a vacation trip.
