President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. greeted the Iglesia ni Cristo church, which is celebrating its 111th anniversary on Sunday, July 27.
Marcos acknowledged the church’s service, charitable practices, and unity with fellow Filipinos, which have proven them to be role models and servants of God, he said. He appealed for their continued support in maintaining a peaceful and orderly society.
“Ngayong ipinagdiriwang natin ang inyong ika-111 Anibersaryo, nawa’y manatili kayong katuwang ng ating pamahalaan sa pagpapanday ng isang matatag at maayos na lipunan,” the President told the church.
Additionally, he assured them that his administration shares the church’s desire to establish a harmonious and prosperous country for all. He said that in upholding God’s teachings, the government and its people will be able to surpass any challenge and attain its hopes for the nation.
“Nawa’y lahat ng ating pagsisikap ay magsilbing katuparan ng isang Bagong Pilipinas na tunay na makatao, makabansa, at may takot sa Diyos,” Marcos concluded.
