A pastor was arrested in Barangay Dagat-dagatan, Caloocan City, after allegedly molesting and raping a minor who was a member of their church.

In a statement made by the victim, the suspect, identified as Pastor Michael Moreno, has been abusing her since 2019, or when she was still 15 years old.

According to the report of Police Major Edward Samonte of the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) of the Manila Police District (MPD), there were instances where Moreno fed the victim to lose consciousness, which the latter denied.

However, the suspect did not deny the sexual intercourse between him and the victim, as he claimed that they had a relationship and found out that the victim was still a minor.

Moreno will be facing charges in cases of acts of lasciviousness and rape at the Caloocan Regional Trial Court.
