Malacañang on Monday morning released the mugshots of several individuals earlier arrested in connection with anomalies in government flood control projects.

Those arrested include Department of Public Works and Highways–Mimaropa chief Gerald Pacanan and regional officials Gene Ryan Altea, Ruben Santos, Dominic Serrano, Felisardo Casino, and Juliet Calvo.

Earlier in the day, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. confirmed that seven out of the 16 individuals ordered arrested are now in the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

One was apprehended by authorities, while six others reportedly surrendered voluntarily to the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).

According to the President, two more suspects have expressed willingness to surrender, while seven others remain at large.

Among those still being pursued is resigned Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co, who is reportedly last seen in Japan, with previous stays in the United States, Europe, and Spain.

"Sa lahat ng natitirang akusado, ang aking payo sa inyo ay sumuko na kayo. Huwag niyo nang antayin na habul-habulin pa kayo," Marcos said.

The Sandiganbayan earlier issued warrants of arrest for Co, 17 other officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Sunwest Corporation involved in anomalous flood control projects.

Marcos said that this was part of intensified operations continue to track down the remaining suspects facing arrest warrants.

Moreover, the President also stressed that the seven individuals are not receiving any special treatment and warned individuals who may be helping hide the remaining accused that they, too, could face legal consequences.

“Tuloy-tuloy po ito. Hindi kami titigil, hindi kami hihinto,” he added.
