Presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao on Monday said he will only quit the race if he sees a sign from God.

During a news conference in Manila, the PROMDI standard-bearer denied allegations that he is losing his energy in his campaign and would be withdrawing from the presidential race to support a rival.

“Ako? Tinatamad? Hindi. Marami lang akong inaasikaso," Pacquiao said. "Kilala mo naman si Manny Pacquiao, hindi naman ako umaatras sa lahat ng laban. Inside and outside the rin."

[Me? Being lazy? No. I am doing many things. You know who Manny Pacquiao is, I don't back out of any fight. May it is inside or outside the ring.]

Pacquiao added that the only thing that would make him quit the presidential race is if he gets a sign or 'conviction' from God.

"The only thing na pwede ako mag-decide na hindi ako tumuloy? ‘Pag may conviction ang Panginoon sa akin na wag ka na tumuloy. Sino ba naman ako para kontrahin ang Panginoon," Pacquiao said.

[The only thing that can decide if I should quit? If there's a conviction from God. Who am I to go against it?]

"Ganoon talaga siguro when you're praying to the Lord, God will give you conviction, instructions, signs. ‘Pag may conviction, ‘pag may pinakita sa 'kin ang Panginoon, eh, mag withdraw ako kahit two days before the elections or one day before. ‘Pag may instructions ang Panginoon sa 'kin susundin ko," he added.

[I think that’s what happens when you pray to God. He will give you conviction, instructions and signs. If there's a conviction from the Lord, I would withdraw even if it's only two days before or a day before the elections. If there's an instruction from the Lord, I will follow.]
