A fire broke out in a commercial area in Pedro Gil St., Paco, Manila, and affected nearby areas on Saturday evening, April 21.
According to a Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) report obtained by DZRH News, the fire began at Paco Market at 8 PM.
An hour later, the blaze spread to the portion of Paco Catholic School (PCS) building.
BFP said the fire reached the fifth alarm before a fire out was declared past 1 AM on Sunday, April 21.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, the administration of PCS announced that face-to-face classes are suspended and shifted to an online modality starting Tuesday, April 23.
"We thank you for your prayers as there were no casualties. The Bureau of Fire Protection is currently assessing and inspecting the extent of damage and we will be awaiting the official report," it said.
PCS administration noted that online modality shall be carried out until further notice.
