A parcel that contained P9.89 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at around 4:00 p.m., the Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) said in a report.
During the operation, an individual was apprehended which the PDEG did not identify.
The seized package contained 6.1 kilos of marijuana, 17 milliliters of marijuana liquid, and 2,899 ecstasy tablets.
For the successful operation, it was a joint effort of the NAIA Interagency Drug Interdiction Task Group, of which PDEG is one of the agencies.
In a separate operation on Friday, around 12 grams of shabu worth P81,6000 was confiscated in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III mentioned that 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 has been confiscated from Maydylie Roxas and Ana Joy Grande in Barangay San Martin de Porres at around 1:30 a.m.
