The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police nabbed a suspected drug pusher and confiscated P1.3 million of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Dumaguete on Tuesday,
According to a report from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, the suspect is Jay Pujol Omelan, 35, of Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
At around 3:10 p.m., the suspect was apprehended at Purok Panaghiosa located in Barangay Calindagan.
Approximately 195 grams of suspected shabu were seized during the operation. The suspected shabu's street value is estimated to be PHP 1,329,400.
Meanwhile, the suspect is currently being held at the Dumaguete Police Station.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, are being prepared against him.
