A total of 5,266 individuals or 1,322 families have evacuated from their homes amid the onslaught of Tropical Storm Paeng, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Friday, Oct. 28.

In its 8 am situational report, NDRRMC said the affected regions are Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Eastern Visayas.

Of the 5,266 affected, the agency said 3,348 individuals or 862 families were displaced and staying inside 20 evacuation centers.

Other 257 individuals or 84 families were outside the evacuation centers.

Thirty-three road sections and three bridges are reportedly not passable in Bicol and Western Visayas.

Two cities/municipalities in Western Visayas are experiencing power interruption.

In a separate report, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said a total of 1,938 passengers, drivers, and cargo helpers are currently stranded in Bicol Region, Southern Tagalog, and Eastern Visayas due to the moderate and rough seas brought by Tropical Storm Paeng.

PCG said 1,244 individuals, 391 rolling cargoes, and 12 vessels are stranded in Bicol.

In Southern Tagalog, 467 individuals, 116 rolling cargoes, 10 vessels, and 24 motorbancas are stranded.

While 227 individuals, 184 rolling cargoes, and 3 vessels are stranded in Eastern Visayas.
