Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso emerged as the frontrunner in the latest OCTA Research survey for the upcoming 2025 Manila mayoral election.
The survey revealed that Moreno is likely to win in all six Manila districts, securing 74% of the vote, which amounts to a total of 836,561 voters.
The results show that Moreno is set to secure 79% of the vote in the first district, 77% in the second, 71% in the third, 67% in the fourth, 74% in the fifth, and 72% in the sixth district.
Following him on the list is mayoral candidate Sam Verzosa, who secured 15% of the votes. Incumbent Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna ranks third, with 9% of the votes.
"Maraming salamat pong muli mga lolo't lola ko, nanay tatay, at sa bawat Batang Maynila sa patuloy ninyong pagsuporta at pagtitiwala," Moreno said in a social media post on Monday.
"Ngayong bagong taon ang hangad ko sa inyo at panalangin sa Diyos na muling maibalik ang ligtas, panatag, at maunlad na taon sa bawat pamilyang Manileño," he added.
Moreno served as mayor of the city of Manila for one term, with Lacuna as his running mate. The two won office seats together in the 2019 elections.
The news of Moreno's candidacy for mayor in the 2025 midterm elections made waves after Lacuna responded by saying she felt betrayed by his decision.
