The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 had swept through Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday night.

The tectonic quake, 43 kilometers deep, began 14 kilometers northeast of Looc at 7:37 PM.

Batangas City logged an Intensity III, whereas Tagaytay City, Cavite, and Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro recorded Intensity II.

Tagaytay City had an Instrumental Intensity III and Puerto Galera had Intensity II.
