The 2022 Freedom of Information (FOI) Awards ceremony has recognized the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) as a runner-up FOI Champion awardee and one of the Top Requested and Performing Agencies with 1000 above requests and with at least 90% closed transactions in the eFOI portal.

This is the fifth straight year that the NTC was awarded as a Top Requested and Performing Agency following last year wherein they were recognized as FOI champion.

Receiving the award on behalf of former NTC Commissioner Gamaliel A. Cordoba were Ms. Divina N. Daquioag, NTC FOI Officer, and NTC Deputy Commissioner Jon Paulo V. Salvahan.

“Rest assured that the NTC, through its FOI Officers’ daily intervention in the FOI portal and standard platform, will continue to abide by the principles of the FOI Program as well as activities as we constantly strive to render transparent, fast and reliable public service to the Filipino people," said NTC Deputy Commissioner Salvahan in a statement.

The FOI Awards is an annual celebration dedicated to FOI partners, program implementors, and stakeholders who have contributed to the FOI Program’s progress, development, implementation, and advancement.

In a recent 2022 Freedom of Information (FOI) Awards ceremony, the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), Philippine Information Agency (PIA) through the Freedom of Information - Project Management Office (FOI-PMO), under the Agencies/Bureaus/Commissions/Council Category, recognized the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) as a runner-up FOI Champion awardee and one of the Top Requested and Performing Agencies with 1000 above requests and with at least 90% closed transactions in the eFOI portal.

This is the fifth straight year that the NTC was awarded as a Top Requested and Performing Agency. The Commission was also FOI Champion last year.
