

Over 5,000 cops were deployed by the Northern Police District (NPD) on early Monday, May 12, to bolster security in the northwestern Metro Manila.
RH 23 Edwin Duque reported that the NPD deployed personnel along Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela, or the CAMANAVA area, to bolster security for the local and national elections today.
According to the report, 500 cops were deployed in both north and south Caloocan, another 500 in Malabon, and 3,000 in Navotas. Meanwhile, 598 were deployed in Valenzuela.
According to the NPD, cops were deployed at around 3 AM today, with various posts in different schools to monitor the area.
Watchers at the Caloocan National High School were permitted to enter the premises at around 5 AM today. The report indicated that senior citizens were already seen heading to the school, adding that they intend to vote early to avoid the intense heat in the afternoon.

The NPD assured that there are personnel monitoring every gate and corner in the areas mentioned.
