North Cotabato town rocked by explosion on election day

An explosion happened near a school serving as a voting center on Monday, May 9, in Kabacan, North Cotabato.
PLtCol. John Miridel Calinga, chief of the Kabacan police, confirmed that an improvised explosive device went off at the back of the Kabacan Pilot Elementary School in Brgy. Poblacion.
Calinga assured that the no one suffered any injuries due to the blast and that the public continued to cast their votes after the incident.
As of writing, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion that happened amidst the conduct of the 2022 local and national elections
