Commission on Election (Comelec) chairman George Garcia on Tuesday, Nov. 7, said the filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for representative of Negros Oriental 3rd Legislative District has been extended.
The extension comes after no aspirant submitted a COC on the first day of the three-day filing period.
Interviewed during DZRH's Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, Garcia confirmed that no candidate filed a COC to fill in for the seat vacated by Arnolfo ‘Arnie’ Teves Jr.
"So far, hanggang kahapon, wala pa tayong report," he said.
