

Following expedited structural repairs, North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation has fully restored the Marilao Bridge, which was severely damaged last week after being struck by an oversized truck.
According to the statement released on Monday, the major repair works were completed as of midnight, June 23, 2025.
NLEX also announce that all four northbound lanes of the Marilao Bridge are now fully opened and passable to motorists, easing traffic flow along the expressway route.
The incident which occured on June 18 tragically resulted in one fatality, six injured and caused heavy traffic to northbound along the expressway.
The damage prompted immediate closures and urgent repair work to ensure public safety and prevent further disruption to traffic flow.
NLEX Corp. said the repair efforts were expedited to restore normal traffic operations.
“We sincerely thank the motoring public for their understanding and patience during the repair period,” the corporation wrote.
"Rest assured, NLEX is committed to improving safety and traffic management across key areas of the expressway to ensure the safety and convenience of our valued customers," its statement read.
Toll fees on the NLEX northbound from Balintawak to Meycauayan were temporarily waived on Sunday, June 22, while the Marilao Bridge was under repair.
