Netflix Philippines just released the trailer for the first Filipino zombie feature, and we need to set the volume on full blast.
The ominous two-minute trailer for ‘Outside’ follows a family inside a rundown car with a blood-stained handprint on the window. The screen pans and transitions to the four characters finding a ‘safe’ place to stay in, as paranoia slowly creeps into the father’s mind.
“The story follows a family of four led by its unstable patriarch, Francis (Sid Lucero). Together with his wife Iris (Beauty Gonzales) and sons Josh (Marco Masa) and Lucas (Aiden Tyler Patdu), they flee to Francis’s secluded farmhouse in the province to seek refuge and restore some semblance of normalcy back amidst a devastating zombie outbreak,” Netflix Philippines said.
Outside is directed by acclaimed TV commercial and content filmmaker Carlo Ledesma, who catapulted in the horror genre in 2011 with his debut film, The Tunnel. Ledesma described the film as his most personal project to date.
“Still pinching myself that a deeply personal project I directed last year with the most amazing cast and crew is finally, FINALLY about to happen,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

The gripping psychological thriller film will have its global premiere on Netflix on October 17.
