

According to the latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the combined effects of Severe Tropical Storm Mirasol, the southwest monsoon, and the approaching Typhoon Nando have so far affected 17,588 families, or 64,461 individuals.
In the latest report of NDRRMC, 108 families, or 353 persons, remain in 15 evacuation centers nationwide.
The Bicol Region recorded the highest number of affected residents with nearly 60,000 individuals, followed by Central Luzon with more than 3,000 affected. Residents from Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Western Visayas (Region 6) were also affected by the continuous rain brought by the typhoon and the southwest monsoon.
Authorities continue to monitor the possible impact of Typhoon Nando, which is expected to further enhance the southwest monsoon and bring heavy rains in the coming days, and chances of getting into a ‘super typhoon’.
