The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has approved the dismissal of six Navotas cops from police service in connection to the death of Jemboy Baltazar, the 17-year-old teenager who was fatally killed by accident.

In the order dated September 13 and signed by acting NCRPO director Jose Nartatez Jr., PCPT Mark Joseph Carpio and Mark Luisito Dela Cruz were dismissed as the disciplinary authority found that they are liable for grave neglect of duty.

Meanwhile, the following cops are dismissed for liable of grave irregularity in the performance of duty and conduct of unbecoming of a police officer:

  • PEMS Roberto Balais Jr.

  • PSSg Antonio Bugayong Jr.

  • PSSg Gerry Maliban

  • PSSG Niko PInes Esquilon

  • PCpl Edmard Jake Blanco

  • Pat Benedict Mangada

Last month, NCRPO issued a memorandum which ordered the six Navotas officers to be relieved from their position.

Navotas Police Station Chief of Police PCol Allan Umipig was likewise relieved due to his failure to supervise the operation and the corresponding investigation. He was charged with administrative cases.

Also removed from their positions due to neglect of duty are officer-in-charge Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) Juanito Arabejo and Chief of Clerk Aurelito Galvez.
